The QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) survey shows that, as the UK has achieved significant results in vaccination, the epidemic control has stabilized, which has also allowed more international students to choose to study in the UK.
For 2021/22, QS surveyed 105,083 international students planning to study abroad. The survey results show that in the pandemic, 56% of the students said that they only consider going to countries with high vaccination rate. 47% of international students decide to choose the UK as their first choice for studying abroad. The reason behind this is also because of the higher vaccination rate in the UK which is more attractive to international students than to other countries.
Among the preparatory students surveyed, nearly one-fifth (17%) of the students stated that they think the UK is the best in the European region in terms of vaccine promotion, and studying in the UK is the right and safe choice. In addition, 68% of students said that as long as the local government provides services for vaccinating, they are willing to choose to go to the country.
In December last year, the British Ministry of Health and Social Welfare announced that students studying in the UK can receive the vaccine for free, and no different from local British residents. Once this policy was released, it was immediately praised by countless international students.
